Back-to-School Giveaway

Project Hope supports K-12 students in the Bethel, Eugene 4J, Junction City, and Springfield School Districts.

August 29 & 30, 2026

Project Hope is a back-to-school giveaway that happens in 5 locations on one weekend, serving 3,000+ pre-selected K-12 students from four school districts: Bethel, Eugene 4J, Junction City, and Springfield.

Students access new athletic shoes, socks, a backpacks filled with school supplies, and other resources like HAIRCUTS! The giveaways happen at fun, family-friendly fairs.

A new haircut makes all the difference for students returning to school!

Where to Serve:

Project Hope happens in 5 locations, and you're being asked to volunteer at one of them!

  • Maple Elementary School (Springfield · Saturday, August 29 from 1-5 PM)

  • Chavez Elementary School (4J · Saturday, August 29 from 1-4 PM)

  • North Eugene High School (4J · Sunday, August 30 from 1-4:30 PM)

  • Willamette High School (4J · Sunday, August 30 from 1-4 PM)

Our goal is to have 8-10 stylists at every location


What to bring:

We ask our volunteers to bring your own scissors, clippers, spray bottles and combs. If you have a stool that you can easily transport, please bring it.
